Webinar: new restriction from European Commission on formaldehyde emissions from products

EU Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1464 of 14 July 2023 amending Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council (REACH Regulation) as regards formaldehyde and formaldehyde releasers was published in the EU Official Journal on 17 July 2023. The EU Commission has adopted new significant measures to reduce formaldehyde emission from a wide range of products including woodbased panels and furniture. The new Regulation establishes an emission limit of 0.062 mg/m3 for formaldehyde into indoor air for woodbased articles and furniture and 0,080 mg/m3 for products other than furniture and wood-based products.
