GREENGUARD certification – update August 2022

On 24th August 2022 UL Solutions published the updated UL 2821 standard: “GREENGUARD Certification Program Method for Measuring and Evaluating Chemical Emissions From Building Materials, Finishes and Furnishings”.

This new second edition has been issued to include the calibration list for individual chemicals and their sources, and remove outdated references to outside criteria. In addition the standard also includes the product sampling, collection, packaging, shipment and documentation criteria for the product groups “printing inks and printing media for interior decorations” and “movable walls”.

Together with partner UL Solutions Normec Product Testing can perform the VOC emission tests to obtain GREENGUARD (Gold) certification. Normec Product Testing is a an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory which scope explicitly includes all major EU and US test protocols.
